about this event
🛑 School is back. The tools that will actually teach are being built this weekend. Every classroom, every campus, every learner is asking the same question in 2026: what does AI change about how we teach and learn? Not the demos. The daily work. Homework, feedback loops, attention, mastery, motivation. Building a chatbot is easy. Building a tool a teacher adopts twice is the hard part. This weekend we build for the students, teachers, and administrators who show up Monday morning.
Join our Discord for credits, team formation, and support. 1-2 Builders per team.
Schedule: 9:00 AM — Check-in & Breakfast. 10:00 – 11:00 AM — Opening Remarks and workshops. 11:00 AM — Build. 12:00 PM — Lunch. 1:00 PM — Build. 4:00 PM — Hard submission deadline. 4:00 – 5:00 PM — Demos (3 min limit). 5:00 PM — 🏆 Audience voting and award ceremony.
Focus Tracks:
🎓 Track 1 · Teacher-Facing Tools — Grading, lesson planning, formative feedback, IEP drafting, differentiation. Build something a real teacher would use twice.
📚 Track 2 · Student Learning — Homework helpers that don't just answer, that teach. Spaced repetition. Bloom's taxonomy in practice. Show retention, not just "helpfulness."
🧠 Track 3 · Learning Science in the Loop — Interventions grounded in cognitive science. Metacognition scaffolds, distributed practice, active recall. Bring the research citations.
🃏 Wildcard (Open Category) — Any concept that doesn't fit the tracks above. If it solves a real problem in education, build it.
🏆 Prizes and Bounties — 1st $600 | 2nd $500 | 3rd $400.
