about this event

BBS x Ramp Hackathon: Automate the Old Way. Make it to the finals and you're guaranteed an interview at Ramp.

Finance still runs on spreadsheets, email chains and receipts stuffed in a drawer. Ramp, the $44B fintech rebuilding how companies spend, wants Berkeley students to fix that. Berkeley Business Society and Ramp are hosting a three-round hackathon. The challenge: pick an outdated financial workflow and rebuild it for 2026 with the newest AI tools. This info session is where it begins.

Come to: Get the official challenge brief. See how Ramp's Applied AI team builds agents that do real finance work. Meet Ramp engineers, recruiters, and find teammates. Learn about internships and new grad roles at Ramp. Food and swag provided.

Pick your lane — Design it: pitch a product people would actually use. Build it: ship working code.

The rounds — Video pitch. Sell us your idea. Go deeper. Walk us through the product or show us the code. The final. Judged live in person by Ramp engineers.

The stakes — $2500 in prizes. Finalists present directly to Ramp's team, and final-round participants get guaranteed interviews with Ramp.

Who: All Berkeley students, any major, any experience level. Designers and engineers alike, pick your lane.
