From Campus Ideas to Real-World Products. Got a hardware idea? Join student builders from across campuses for an afternoon of building, pitching, and meeting the people who can help you launch. This is the pre-launch of Build NEXT, a US University Builders Program, where you can find co-founders, meet investors, and use VLight to turn your idea into a real, manufacturable product, starting from a single unit.
What you'll get: Find your co-founder — team up with engineers, designers, and business builders. Build with VLight — get free credits with your .edu email and go from AI design to factory-ready specs and real quotes in days. Meet investors — pitch to Plug and Play, VCs, angels, and accelerators. Access factories — get direct links to suppliers and manufacturers, with a minimum order of one. Mentorship and launch — get coaching on pitching and PR, plus a fast track to Kickstarter.
Agenda: 3:30 PM — check-in and team matching; 4:00 PM — build session with VLight; 5:30 PM — pitches to judges; 6:15 PM — awards and networking.
