about this event
The Design Project prepares designers to design with code and they are sharing their process this fall at the coveted CCA.
Join us for an in-person AI Hackathon at the California College of the Arts (CCA) on November 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM (Pacific Time) for a tangible workshop to learn how to "design with code". This event will be led by Dianne Alter, Co-founder of The Design Project. She will do a deep dive into the creative process and teach how to craft powerful, engaging designs using AI.
Hosted by the California College of the Arts Design Strategy MBA Program, this AI Hackathon is a great chance to connect and create. We will be in Room N200 in the new Double Ground building on the 2nd floor.
Tools we'll use: Claude Code; Cursor (AI-powered code editor); Figma MCP (connects your designs to AI); GitHub (to ship your code).
Come prepared: Watch this video to set up your environment before the workshop: https://youtu.be/nbnD2h4IP8I. Bring your laptop and an open mind — you'll leave with real code in the browser.
